The mandatory use of a mask to mitigate the contagion of covid-19 is a reality that all human beings are facing. For no one is a secret that with this new reality that we face, the mandatory use of the mask is one of the measures that we must take to reduce the number of infections. In addition, it is one of the behaviors that we must adopt in order to return to this new daily life, complementing it with other measures such as constant hand washing and social distancing. Now, the questions are, how are people abiding this new standard? And, are they putting it into practice?, Likewise, how is this new reality affecting you? And, does wearing a mask reduce the fear of catching the virus?
Most people have had a great shock with this new reality; they
are not able to assimilate the measures or simply ignore the subject. With the
campaign about the correct use of the mask, we seek to educate and raise
awareness about this issue, but well, now what we want is to inquire how people
feel about the daily use of the mask and if they know how to use it. From my profession,
and as a psychology student I want to implement centers in the communities
where help is provided for people who need information on the topic of infection
and talks to know how to manage the fear of getting infected.
The main idea consists in organizing meetings in a specific
place in the neighborhood, where talks will be offered on how to manage stress,
we will offer kits that will include a mask and a brochure with information on
how the use of the mask reduces its contagion, in addition Through these talks
we will dynamically present guidelines to manage the stress caused by this
situation, the idea is that all the residents of the neighborhood participate.
Clarifying that as we are in a pandemic, the idea is to organize the community
into small groups, the idea is that they have a pleasant moment where they can
learn and also enjoy.
Finally, the idea of all this is to learn and also to teach,
raising awareness in the community. The most important thing about this experience
is to leave a seed in each person who attends the talks, to leave tips on how
to manage stress, since our mental health is just as important as our physical
health. It is a very gratifying experience to be able to serve others and that
this experience nurtures you and gives you a lot of knowledge in your life,
empathy is a quality that we must all put into practice. The new way to take
care of ourselves is to start taking care of yourself and abiding by all the
rules.




This project is very importance because mental illnesses hurt us as much as organic illnesses and many times people put them aside because of what society says The world for reasons of this pandemic has changed and these changes generate insecurity in the people's lives thus generating stress for this reason it is important at this time to work on this issue so that people can learn to manage their stress in these types of situations because in some circumstances they can reach the point of limiting people in their daily lives.
